Established in 1948, the Saskatchewan Arts Board is the oldest public arts funder in North America, and second oldest in the world after the Arts Council of Great Britain. Governed by The Arts Board Act, 1997, we provide grants, programs, and services to individuals and groups whose activities have an impact on the arts in Saskatchewan and ensure that opportunities exist for Saskatchewan residents to experience all art forms. As an organization that was first among public arts funders, we were established with two specific aims, and we are proud that we still fulfill those same basic principles. We have been fortunate to receive funding through the Independent Artists Grant Program for our Artistic Director to create choreography for the company show!

Dance Saskatchewan Inc. has been one of the major supporters of the Saskatchewan Dance Project from its early days. DSI provides The Saskatchewan Dance Project with support and resources as well as reduced rates for rental space through their professional company program.

They have also recently donated the use of their rental dance flooring, for our upcoming performance at The Open Store Front. DSI has most recently sponsored our conference registration and part of our airfare to travel to Australia this summer.

The Saskatchewan Dance Project has also received grant funding for our next full-length show from DSI.We greatly appreciate DSI , their support for our company, community and all they do for our dancers in the province.

The Open Storefront Project: an ON THE BOARDS initiative, made possible with the generous support of Confederation Mall. The goal of the project is to provide artists with a temporary space in which to create, as well as to bring life to unleased storefront spaces. We partner with retail businesses and building owners to provide the space free-of-charge to artists. We hope that our animation of the different spaces allows the public to see into the process of the arts and to promote the leasable space to potential buyers or renters.

Kathy Bond has graciously offered to teach our company Pilates classes over the course of our 2017-2018 season. Kathy Bond owns and instructs at Saskatoon Pilates Center located at

1801 Lorne Avenue Saskatoon,Saskatchewan S7H 1Y5

We are looking forward to beginning our class sessions with Kathy and the company wishes to thank her for her support and generosity.

Sponsorship

The Saskatchewan Dance Project is always looking for local businesses and patrons to help and support our company.

We are non-profit and are able to run our company through various grant programs, profits from ticket sales, formal sponsorship and gift in kind donations.

We uphold the highest professional  standards for our dancers, professionals, and partners that we work with, and one aspect of this is having the ability to suitably compensate the artists for their work. This is usually done through the use of grant funds and ticket sales. The role of our sponsors is to provide means to pay for costumes, theatre space, travel expenses and external training opportunities and conferences.

We have numerous sponsorship, donation, and advertising options available for both personal and business support. We strive for our sponsorship relationships to be mutually beneficial and would love to be able to partner with our sponsors.

If you or someone you know may be interested in sponsoring our company please feel free to contact our artistic director Tatum Wildeman at tatum.dance.project@gmail.com at any time.
